This week on the Maine Show: Take It Outside at Mt. Blue State Park

Maine’s Parks and Lands are one of the many great resources that we have in our state, and they can be used year round. Steph and Jeff spend the day in Weld, Maine at Mount Blue State Park where they attend a winter event hosted by the Take It Outside initiative. A variety of activities are offered including: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating and sleigh rides. After taking a guided snowshoe tour Steph and Jeff face off in a sledding competition at center hill. Afterward they join the students at Windham High School where they demonstrate all the things you need to know to plan a winter camping trip. What clothes to wear, what gear to bring, they even build an igloo.
